Russ contacted Larry North in August 2003 in order to get ready for an appearance at LaBare. Russ continued to work out after the appearance in the gym that he had installed at the station, and going out to Larry's Southlake location one a week. Larry calls up from time to time to ask about various health related issues. In the spring of 2004, Larry offered to take JD and Russ to South Beach, Florida if they lost a certain amount of weight.
The trip was never taken.
When the show returned to KEGL, Mr. North continued his presence on the show. He showed up in studio at least once during the first two weeks on the air.
