Starting late Summer, 2004, Eddie started to call the show. Eddie calls up often to voice his opinion on various topics. In the beginning he called to tell JD it was okay to drop the "N" word. After that, the just called to give JD a hard time about various topics. (Of course, he has no problem dropping the "N" word on the air.) Another time he was used to berate Gavin on the air, trying to get Russ "N" money. (This from the parade, when people smashed up chairs and tables that Russ had to pay for.)
In 2006 Black Eddie joined The Russ Martin Show Experience.
About 2 years after his first call in, it was revealed that Eddie has been blind for the majority of his adult life. This was known to the show for the longest time, but never mentioned on the air until Eddie was ready for it to be mentioned.Â
